Normalising Honeycomb Structured Phylogenetic Networks
The normalisation of phylogenetic networks is a process that standardises complex phylogenetic networks. This method was initially proposed in the peer-reviewed article, "Normalising Phylogenetic Networks" by Francis, Huson & Steel and is the foundation of my research paper, "Normalising Honeycomb-Structured Phylogenetic Networks". In the paper, I explore the normalisation of a particular phylogenetic network, the honeycomb structure, supported by a formal mathematical induction proof. This research was completed under the supervision of Associate Professor Simone Linz, at the University of Auckland.
